Craig Batchelar | Planner, Partner

Craig has played a key role in major planning and development projects relating to urban development. His experience spans community, residential and business development issues. Craig has had advisory roles in urban growth strategies in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawke’s Bay and Canterbury Regions.

Extensive experience lies in both policy development and implementation under the Resource Management Act, the Local Government Act and other planning legislation. He has a special interest in infrastructure planning and funding, including development contributions.

An experienced expert witness, Craig has presented evidence at the Environment Court on many occasions during his career, most recently in relation to coastal hazard management policy, industrial land zoning, medium density housing development proposals, and natural hazard management.
