Greg is a qualified planner and heritage professional who has worked in a wide range of resource management and public policy roles since 1985. He has considerable experience in policy development and implementation under the Resource Management Act, Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Act and Local Government Act, with a particular focus on District Plan policy formulation and administration. He also has a strong working knowledge of the principles of urban design and their application to urban planning.
As a heritage practitioner, Greg has been involved in developing heritage policy at both local and central government levels, and has provided policy advice to a range of organisations, including local heritage trusts, local authorities and crown agencies/entities.
Prior to joining Boffa Miskell in 2010, Greg assumed senior roles in both local and central government. As a result, he has a highly attuned understanding of, and experience with, local and central government processes and procedures, including public policy development and associated governance and decision-making arrangements.
