I specialise in evaluating landscape and visual effects and advising on site and route selection for a range of infrastructure, energy and utility, and development projects. I provide integrated design solutions and mitigation strategies in both urban and rural locations.

I've worked on master planning, urban design and environmental planning projects throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific region for more than 40 years. This has included my role on the Project Alliance Board (PAB) for the Northern Gateway Toll Road; being the Urban Design and Landscape Planning lead for the Rangiriri Section of the Waikato Expressway; and assisting clients to gain resource consent for projects in sensitive environments, often focussing on the rehabilitation and enhancement of degraded landscapes.

I'm a strategic advisor and peer reviewer for many of Boffa Miskell’s large-scale landscape projects. I also provide technical advice and assistance with regional and district planning, and in obtaining resource consents. I'm an experienced expert witness, presenting evidence before council, the Environment Court and Board of Inquiry hearings.

I've been a partner Boffa Miskell since 1990. I live on Waiheke Island, and was on the Board of Sculpture on the Gulf for the 2017 and 2019 events.
