I work primarily as an ornithologist (bird specialist) and have particular expertise in working with penguins as a result of my academic research and subsequent project work. I am also competent and involved in other terrestrial work as well as freshwater projects — primarily implementing fish salvage and relocation.

Much of my work involves undertaking ecological surveys and mitigation work; and preparing ecological impact assessments and management plans for large-scale projects, such as Transmission Gully expressway and various wind farms. I'm also involved with small-scale projects, such as subdivisions and residential developments.

I am experienced in managing small to medium-sized ecology-focused projects and enjoy that diversity, along with working collaboratively within the ecology team and with other disciplines.
