Technical Services
The Technical Services team provides location intelligence (GIS) and visualisation support to our multi-disciplinary consultants. Our digital outputs range from 2D or 3D mapping and geospatial analysis through to visual simulations, animations and flythroughs. The team also assists our UAV (drone) pilots to capture and process data and imagery (including video) for use in our downstream products.
My role is to manage the workloads of the team and to ensure outputs are delivered on time and within budget. More importantly, that outputs either meet or exceed our client's expectations and also meet the regulatory requirements for environment court or council hearings when applicable.
I'm also responsible for identifying areas where digital innovations might improve our ability to convey complex messaging, whether it be through the use of web-based viewing applications, virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR), or by applying machine learning (AI) to our projects.
I welcome the challenges that our consultants bring to us, and rely heavily on a very talented team of individuals to deliver on these.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, University of Otago
New Zealand Certificate in Survey Draughting, Wellington Polytechnic
