Having practiced since 1996 as both a consultant and as a senior local authority planner, Stephanie has gained extensive experience in statutory and environmental planning, policy analysis, District Plan preparation and administration, and resource consent/ plan change preparation. She is experienced in a range of planning services, including the preparation and processing of documents for resource consents and District Plan changes, and assessments of effects on the environment reports, through to Environment Court evidence.
She has worked on residential, commercial, rural, recreation, community and coastal marine developments within a wide variety of natural and built environments. Relevant recent experience includes advising numerous territorial authorities on their policy provisions including development of district plans for a range of South Island district councils. In working on district plan reviews, Stephanie has considerable experience evaluating notices of requirement and incorporating these matters into the planning framework. Stephanie is also working on a number of large scale projects for development companies, including managing teams of experts and preparing a range of application documents and hearing processes.
Stephanie often works within a team environment and has a sound understanding of the implications and procedures of the Resource Management Act. She also maintains a high level of written, communication and analytical skills, which she uses in preparing reports and presenting evidence for major New Zealand companies and statutory authorities.
Stephanie has completed the International Association for Public Participation’s (IAP2) Certificate in Public Participation and is committed to undertaking consultation processes appropriate to the project and the scope for stakeholder input into the decision-making process.
