Tim is an urban designer with a landscape architecture background and has been with Boffa Miskell since 2006. Prior to this he has worked extensively across the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, mostly within architecturally-based practices.
Much of Tim’s experience has been working within the private sector. Recently he has built up his public sector knowledge through his secondment to the Urban Design Team at Christchurch City Council. During this time he helped prepare the draft Central City Plan for Ministerial approval, following the Canterbury earthquakes, and has since assisted them with the implementation of transitional and long-term recovery projects. More recently Tim has been working on the Metro Sports Facility, Convention Centre Precinct, Christchurch Hospital and a range of housing projects.
Tim has a broad range of technical skills, ranging from strategic policy advice through to design assessment and masterplanning. He is a regular member on the Christchurch Urban Design Panel and often imparts his practical knowledge through lecturing and training roles.
