Two Boffa Miskell projects were award-winners at the 2018 Resource Management Law Association (RMLA) Conference
The 2018 RMLA conference awards dinner was eagerly anticipated. Two different projects that Boffa Miskell collaborated on won in two separate categories. Awards were won in the Technical Documentation category and the Project category.
The RMLA Technical Documentation Award 2018 was won by the New Plymouth District Council and their legal counsel Govett Quilliam, for the NPDC Draft Digital District Plan.
With a District Plan review underway and an eye to the requirements of the coming National Planning Standards, NPDC created an e-plan that delivers plan users better access and understanding of planning information. An extensive team of Boffa Miskell planners worked with the NPDC and GQ lawyers in preparing and reviewing the plan provisions for specific topics, as well as advising and assisting with the District Plan Review process and the coordination role.
The RMLA Project Award 2018 went to the North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery Alliance (NCTIR) for the delivery of a project critical to New Zealand’s recovery from the 7.8 2016 North Canterbury earthquake, being the the reconstruction of the destroyed East Coast transport corridor, road and rail. This project involved our multi-disciplinary teams of landscape planners, landscape designers and ecologists.
