About Eynon

Eynon joined Boffa Miskell in 2013 after three years at the Auckland Council as the Maori Engagement Manager and four years prior as Pae Arahi Manager Maori for Auckland City Council.

Eynon hails from Te Whanau A Apanui, Ngai Tahu, Ngati Rongomai and Whakatohea on his father’s side and Wales on his mother’s side.

His work in Auckland Council has seen him lead all Maori engagement for the Auckland and Unitary Plans and subsequent policies and plans.
He was a key negotiator with Iwi on the development of the Onehunga restoration project, the biggest reclamation in Auckland.

Eynon developed the Kaitiaki Forum at the Auckland Council as a single point of contact for the 19 Iwi of Auckland and all council projects. He worked closely with project leaders from Storm Water Consents, Unitary Plan and a host of other projects whom were regular presenters to the Forum.

Eynon is currently one of the seven NZTA trusted advisors for the New Zealand Transport agency and currently is working on the Southern corridor, East West connections, Northern Corridor and consenting of the Additional Harbour crossing, SH20 A and SH20B.

Eynon was part of the planning team that developed the Mana whenua consenting framework for Chorus Ultra-Fast Broadband in Auckland.
