Prior to joining Boffa Miskell in 2014, Helen was Associate Director at the Centre for Wildlife Management and Conservation (Lincoln University), where she led a nationwide team of experts in engineering, creative design, animal behaviour, toxicology and ecology. She also held a concurrent position as the Director of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation at Connovation Ltd, a leading New Zealand pest control company. Helen comes from an academic background where she has been focused on the development of innovative technologies and tools for wildlife management and monitoring. She has extensive project management experience, leading large ($40k to $4.6M) complex multi-disciplinary projects for the private and public sectors.
She has over 13 years practical experience in ecology and more than 20 peer reviewed publications in leading international and national ecological journals. Helen has received over 10 awards for her contribution to the ecological and research sectors.
Helen has significant experience in liaising and communicating with key groups including industry and commercial partners, Maori, community groups and stakeholders.
