Jane has 20 years’ professional experience working as an urban designer and planner in the UK, USA and New Zealand for both the public and private sectors. Jane joined Boffa Miskell in early 2009 and brings expertise in urban design, strategic planning, masterplanning, comprehensive regeneration and residential and town centre developments. She is passionate about achieving quality and workable urban design outcomes. Jane is currently working on a number of Master Plans, earthquake recovery plans and design guides, along with a range of town centre and housing projects in and around Christchurch and the South Island.
Prior to working for Boffa Miskell, Jane worked for three years as an Associate Director of DTZ in London advising on a number of physical regeneration projects and town centre strategies and visions. She also worked with London-based urban design practice Tibbalds where she was involved in the preparation of urban design strategies and development planning guidelines. In addition to working in London for eight years, Jane has worked in Seattle as part of the City of Seattle’s Design Review Programme and for various organisations in Wellington.
