About Katie

Katie joined Boffa Miskell in early 2006 and brings significant experience and skills in concept design and developed design. She works at a range of scales from large commercial masterplanning projects to public realm, parks and playgrounds, and design guidelines for significant urban spaces. Her particular skill and interest is in conceptual and developed design and the graphic communication of these ideas to the client or community.

Katie was seconded for a year to the Christchurch Central City Development Unit, the development arm of CERA working on the development of strategic guidelines for streets and public spaces within the central city. Katie was the project landscape architect working with the CERA urban design team to develop the Christchurch Central Streets and Spaces Design Guide, 2015. The guide won the ‘Strategic Planning and Guidance’ category in the NZ Planning Institutes Awards 2016.

Prior to joining Boffa Miskell, Katie worked in London in a private practice for 2 years working on regeneration projects, in and around London. She works with a range of clients, including Councils, Iwi, Government Agencies, corporate and private development and community groups.
