I have over three decades' experience in statutory and environmental planning, effects assessment, policy analysis, plan preparation and administration, and public consultation. I've worked in New Zealand and overseas and have an affinity and proven ability to engage with multiple organisations, producing integrated results for flexible and creative environmental solutions.

I lead projects and advise clients on policy development at all levels of government. I am an excellent communicator with comprehensive understanding of the implications and procedures of the Resource Management Act and other environmental legislation. I've had significant involvement in preparing numerous resource consent and plan change applications and their associated assessments of environmental effects for a wide range of planning and resource management projects, including large-scale and complex energy and utility proposals.

As an accredited RMA decision-maker, I regularly act as an independent Hearing Commissioner. I also act as an expert planning witness before Council hearings and the Environment Court.

I'm Managing Principal for the South Island offices and currently sit on the Governing Board.
