About Sherilyn

Sherilyn joined Boffa Miskell in 2018, with over 20 years’ experience as a planner and policy advisor in local government (including district, city and regional council roles) and with the Ministry for the Environment. Sherilyn worked primarily in the local government sector, leading projects spanning strategic urban and spatial planning, policy projects, and statutory Resource Management Act plan change processes.

Sherilyn has an excellent understanding of the planning issues associated with urban areas, including supporting infrastructure, transport, social and environmental issues, and has managed a number of non-statutory strategic projects, including urban growth studies and town centre plans. She has experience working at a variety of scales within multi-disciplinary teams and takes a holistic approach to planning.

Sherilyn has significant experience in community and stakeholder consultation and engagement processes and has successfully led several large projects that have involved consultation with a wide range of interests and stakeholder groups.
