Kaiwhakamahere Whenua | Landscape Planner
Pouwhiri | Principal

I have a special interest in strategic landscape policy and planning including landscape characterisations, climate adaptation studies, growth planning, and better integrating our natural and urban environments.

Many of the projects I have worked on have involved working alongside others in multi-disciplinary teams, requiring clear communication. These have ranged from landscape, visual and natural character assessments of large infrastructure proposals such as windfarms, to the development of spatial plans within a local authority. I have also worked on several landscape, seascape and capacity studies for district and regional councils across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Recently, my work has been focused on urban areas, including developing green network concepts, undertaking landscape and visual assessments for plan changes and large apartment complexes, and contributing to heritage character area assessments.
