Reshaping a campus and planning for the next century and beyond.
The effects of the Canterbury Earthquakes have provided the opportunity for St Margaret’s College to fundamentally re-shape its campus. Building an environment that will provide a framework to service the needs of the school for the next century and beyond.
Boffa Miskell were commissioned by the College to prepare a Landscape Master Plan. The key desire was to structure the campus around an “a necklace of outdoor rooms”, providing a range of spaces for the school to utilise and recognising that 21st Century teaching is not limited to the traditional classroom.
Our Christchurch team of landscape architects worked closely with St Margaret’s College and Athfield Architects to develop this “necklace of outdoor rooms”. Creating an overall Campus Landscape Master Plan linking all of the outdoor spaces within the campus.
Detailed design and observation for the first constructed stage has been completed and we are currently undertaking the detailed design and observation of the next exciting stage of this development.
Landscape architecture, master planning, detailed design and specification.
