Understanding, monitoring, protecting and enhancing Aotearoa’s ecological values and assessing and managing ecological effects associated with projects. We apply bespoke scientific knowledge and research to inform on-the-ground ecological effects management.

Assessments and research often form critical components of policy development, consenting requirements and environmental management. We provide robust and reliable ecological advice for surveying, monitoring, protecting and enhancing ecological values and assessing and managing ecological effects associated with projects. We undertake applied scientific research to inform on-the-ground practices in ecological effects management and bespoke solutions.

Our team of ecologists bring highly specialised knowledge covering all aspects of ecology and ecosystem types. With specialists in terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecology, wetlands, birds, bats, lizards, frogs and invertebrates, we find innovative and pragmatic solutions to ecological issues based on sound science. We assess ecological values and monitor and manage ecological effects associated with projects; we provide advice and develop ecological management plans.

Working with other professionals in multi-disciplinary teams, we integrate the sustainable management of natural resources into project outcomes. Our ecologists present sound and compelling evidence at council, Environment Court, Board of Inquiry or Environment Protection Agency hearings.
